So I’ve been in Seattle this week for the Microsoft MVP Summit, and it’s my last day here, flying back home later this evening. But I thought before I left, I should take a picture of the view from my room, and this is it:

Interview On Live In Europe

This is another one of those "honest g'vnor, I planned to post this last week" posts...

I was recently asked by the Live In Europe blog if I fancied doing an interview with them. Sure, sounded good to me. Live In Europe is a blog run by some Windows Live marketing guys in Europe (all self explanatory really).

Anyway, you can read the interview which is now posted up there. In it, I talk about Windows Live, developing for Windows Live, and Windows Live Writer and about being a Platform MVP. It's not gonna reveal any in depth secrets about me I'm afraid, but you do find where I got the ideas for some of my plugins .

No Longer Windows Live Messenger MVP

As of today, I am no longer a Windows Live Messenger MVP, I am now a Windows Live Platform MVP It seems to a better fit for what I've been doing in the community over the last 18 months, so a big thanks to the MVP team for helping to get that sorted .

Got my email through today:

It's for Windows Live Messenger again, which is kind of odd as I've been more into the Windows Live Developer scene over the last 12 months, but hey, there we go, I've still been renewed, which is good news This means I'm heading off to Seattle again in April.

MVP Summit

As you know, I recently got awarded with the Microsoft MVP award, and one of the perks that comes with that is an invite to the MVP Global Summit. Basically all the MVPs (well, those that can make it) converge upon Seattle and meet up with people from Microsoft as well as meeting fellow MVPs. It's set for March 12-15 and as normal Microsoft are footing the bill (well, for the hotel at least); although I have to pay for the flight, that's fine by me as it should be a really good week.

And speaking of the hotel, I will be staying at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. Want to see some pictures of it? I thought you might .

Should be a really good week and I'm very much looking forward to it .
