Shooting Up Some Medals

I was watching some of the highlights this morning of the Commonwealth Games (I don't normally, don't worry) and it was showing the highlights of the shooting events; England had won a Gold medal in the 10m pistol event. And I started thinking how typical that England is so poor at other sports and yet here we are doing well at shooting! A sign of the times for us.

So I was already to come on here and bitch about it, suggesting that maybe our shooting representatives might have been from Nottingham, but I went to the Commonwealth Games website to get some results, and was surprised by what the results actually were. At the time of writing, England has only one gold medal, two silvers and a bronze, and we're third in the medal table for shooting, so not as bad as I thought.
